DESCRIPTION

Returning for 2027, the DPS Pisteworks 94 is a carbon-powered carving ski engineered for all-mountain domination at speed. With its supple flex, long effective edge, and low rocker profile, this ski is built to produce maximum energy and rebound, ideal for technical frontside skiers who thrive on energy, precision, and performance from first chair to last lap.

Why we like it:

It brings true race-like energy to the frontside without the bulk or weight of metal, delivering high-G carving performance with remarkable smoothness and rebound thanks to full carbon construction.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert skiers with strong technique who prefer firm snow, fast turns, and a directional ride. This is the ski for technical frontside chargers who want responsiveness and power in a lightweight package.

Highlights:

With a narrow 94 mm waist, minimal rocker (just 27%), and nearly three-quarters effective edge, the Pisteworks 94 thrives in hardpack conditions. A progressively increasing turn radius across sizes (from 18m to 20m) delivers GS-like arcs with exacting control. Full Carbon Construction and a recycled Carbon Power Plate keep weight impressively low while boosting edge grip and energy return. The ski feels planted and responsive at speed, while remaining agile enough for quick transitions and technical zones.

Things to consider:

This ski doesn’t aim to be playful or forgiving. Instead, it rewards power and precision. Skiers who prefer a looser or more surf-oriented feel may find it overly demanding, especially in deeper or variable snow.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. For those seeking max stability and speed, go longer. For quicker edge-to-edge response and tighter turns, sizing down is a smart move, especially given the ski’s long effective edge.

Go fast, take chances. Air it out when I can. If the woods aren't good, I'll be trying to pass everyone on the way down the groomer.

Stowe six pack - variable conditions, warming up, almost getting to corn stage after a night freeze on blue groomers
Did this length feel short, long, or just right? Would you recommend sizing up or down, or does it ski "true to size?" Would you choose this length for yourself?
If I'm being aggressive, I'd want longer, but for an intermediate advanced skier at 6'1" this should be enough.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?
They held an edge better than expected. Not quite as playful as I initially had expected with the carbon core, but it was solid and predictable.
For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?
Groomers, the steeper the better. Once the edge is engaged, they hold really well.
What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?
High end of advanced up to full expert. You have to know how to engage and hold an edge to really appreciate what this ski is built for. They're not going to be fun if you're not trying to carve trenches.
If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?
A little more pop going from edge to edge. I expected an advanced level carving ski to make me regret getting backseat when transitioning from edge to edge. Very forgiving, but I think being more active from side to side would make it more exciting.
