The K2 Lime Lite is a fantastic option for lady riders who spend a lot of time in the park, but also use the whole mountain as their playground. The Lime Lite is an easy-going, nice-flexing ride that takes you wherever you want to go in a fun-loving format. Built with K2’s Rhythm core which is based mostly out of aspen wood, the tips and tails feature paulownia in order to reduce the swing weight and make the Lime Lite more energetic and poppy. This makes for a great freestyle setup, as you get the smoothness and stability underfoot to go along with the quick and agile tips and tails that spin well in the air. K2 then adds their Bi-Axial fiberglass layup which places the layers at 0 and 90-degrees in order to stiffen the board and increase energy in both the longitudinal and torsional planes. There’s not a whole lot else going on with the build, the setback of the mount zone is centered, and the rocker/camber/rocker profile is pretty darn symmetrical. This makes for easy switch riding and a more casual style. If you’re looking for something easy to ride, and does fantastic in the terrain park and half-pipe setting, the K2 Lime Lite should be at the top of the list.

Rosalie Wright-Lapin rode the 146, and noted it was true to size. She scored it 5’s out of 5 for flotation, quickness, maneuverability, playfulness, and overall impression. We see a lone 4 for versatility, and 3’s for torsional stiffness, edge hold, forgiveness, and stability. Rosalie states that the Lime Lite is a “Great board! Really playful and fun. Easy to move on in all kinds of snow. I would recommend for an experienced rider that can control something this playful and is okay with less stability.” It is nice when a more advanced rider can still have a lot of fun on a more playful board without losing too much of the upper-end performance. It sounds like the Lime Lite is one of those sticks in Rosalie’s experience.

Also on the 146, Adriane Morrison-Taylor found the sizing to be too short for her—she'd likely go to the next size up. Regardless, we still see a top mark of 5 out of 5 for playfulness, with a 4 for flotation. Due to the shorter length and softer flex, it’s not surprising to see a lower 2 for stability, as it is a pretty flexible board in a shorter length for Adriane. She notes that the “Lime Lite is a fun and flexible board with easy edge control. Best for beginner to intermediate riders looking to progress in park and all-mountain riding.” Very similar to Rosalie in that the board has that easy flex and personality that actually has a well-rounded character to it.

Riders looking to get the most out of their freestyle boards will love the versatility of the K2 Lime Lite. It’s not too heavy or stiff, but still has enough stoutness to it to take your riding to the next level. If you’re looking to improve your skills, whether in or out of the park, the K2 Lime Lite is an excellent toy for the job.
