2026 Men's ~90 mm All Mountain Ski Comparison
Next up in our Comparison Series are the amazing All-Mountain skis of the ~90 mm range. This is Part 1 of this width range, with Part 2 featuring more twin tip and freeride-oriented skis. This group here is more traditional in nature, operating better in on-trail and carving formats. If you are looking to spend most of your time on groomers but still want extra width and accessibility for off-piste adventures, this is a great place to be. These skis do vary in construction quite a bit, with lighter and more manageable skis at the start and denser, stronger, and heftier skis towards the end. It’s safe to say that skis on the first half of the list work better in tighter and more technical zones like bumps and trees while skis in the second half are more composed in carved turns and feature better edge grip and increased power. As always, it’s a sliding scale and a fun discussion—enjoy!

Overview:
Light, fun, and incredibly energetic, this Ripstick 88 fits into the all-mountain category perfectly. You can simply put this thing anywhere and it’ll be happy. While speed demons and stability freaks will be happier with skis on the other end of the spectrum, those who are looking for an enjoyable ride with minimal complaints will fit great with the Ripstick 88. It's such a good and easy mogul ski, handles trees with ease, and can open it up when asked, just as long as the skier is confident in their skills. Without metal, and being as light as it is, there’s only so much the ski can do on its own. Other than that, the Elan Ripstick 88 is pure all-mountain fun. The carbon tubes, once again, do a lot of the work in getting this ski to be active, energetic, and incredibly smooth.
Who it's For:
Intermediates and advanced skiers will get the best results here. You want something simple and easy, but with a modern and unique feel. The amphibio profile and asymmetrical construction will ensure that you get that.

Overview:
Built with carbon stringers and a partial metal laminate, the quick and easy Liberty Radian 92 has a ton of pep for having a low overall weight. These skis are very simple and natural feeling, capable of making agile turns both carved and skidded, with total simplicity. The Radian 92 has the overall look of a wider freeride ski, with a tapered shovel and longer rocker, but the rest of the ski is all about completing a turn with emphasis and vigor. It’s great in the bumps as a result of the softer shovel and supportive tail. While high-speed enthusiasts will require more metal and weight for true aggressive carving bliss, the vast majority of skiers will get along great with the Radian 92.
Who it's For:
Skiers who love agility and quickness without sacrificing damping will love the Radian 92. You value versatility and flotation.

Overview:
This is a ski that punches well above its level. Built with a poplar wood core and vertical carbon stringers, the weight is light and the flex is ample. Those two things are more indicative of an intermediate level ski, but any advanced or expert skier that’s been on this ski has really enjoyed their time, even noting that the performance range was considerably higher than they expected. It’s always interesting picking up a flat ski and thinking there’s not much to it but then having the reality of the ski on snow being much different. These Declivity 88 C’s are amazing in the bumps, quick in the trees, and very energetic on groomers. With more of a traditional shape and profile, they hold up better than expected at speed, but still have a more casual approach and preference.
Who it's For:
While you can certainly have a lot of fun here as an intermediate, let’s not take away that fun and excitement from advanced and expert skiers who love carbon-based energy and a traditional feel.

Overview:
With true all-mountain versatility in mind, the Fischer Ranger 90 combines a sturdy wood core with a partial metal laminate to create a mix and blend of attributes that swerve and carve easily and with energy. This is the type of ski that you don’t have to think about to have a good time on. It’s mindless in the best possible way—just ski and enjoy. With a stiffer underfoot zone and more flex in the ends, the ski works great in softer snow while retaining edge grip and carving capacity. In a category that focuses on versatility and well-roundedness, the Ranger 90 continues to stand out as being an exemplary option.
Who it's For:
This ski works great on the feet of skiers who mix conditions and terrain. You don’t really have a focus or a preference when it comes to groomers, steeps, bumps, trees, etc. You just want to ski.

Overview:
Another new ski for 2026 on this list, the Atomic Maverick 88 CTi takes notes from the 105 and 115 which were introduced last year. By blending carbon stringers with a metal laminate, Atomic keeps the light energy fully intact. While it could be considered a downward step from last year’s 88 Ti from a carving perspective, it’s more useful in softer snow, makes shorter turns better, and is easier to ski in bumps and trees. It’s still a good carver, but not quite as stable at speed as the outgoing 88 Ti. This will likely attract a larger audience as it fits in with what a normal all-mountain ski day usually entails—a bit of this and a bit of that, all with a high fun level. There’s a lot of energy to this ski and it handles adversity quite well for being so light and mobile.

Adventurous skiers who love the feeling of energy and rebound. You like a clean and short carved turn to go along with stellar mogul and tree performance.

Overview:
The M-Cross 88 returns with a new graphic but remains one of the most composed and simplest carving skis on this list. With a shorter radius and a sophisticated construction, this ski rips around carved turns with ease and poise. While it’s not quite as strong, stable, or aggressive as the Mantras or Enforcers of the world, the M-Cross holds up quite well to on-piste and front side activities. We see a bit of a dip in versatility and soft snow performance, mainly in favor of those clean and round carves. It’s amazing to see the use of metal and polyurethane to go along with a three-layer wood core. Dynastar makes the skis smooth, energetic, and totally predictable as a result of their Hybrid 2.0 construction. The tails in this ski are no joke, however, and will rocket you into the next carve whether you’re ready for it or not.

Sophisticated on-piste skiers who want a wider-bodied carver that can align with good skills. You like smooth and quiet skis with a lot of kick.

Overview:
The new Head Kore 88 Ti is a total revamp from the carbon-powered Kore skis from years past. These skis use a blend of beech and karuba combined with two sheets of metal for an entirely different Kore skiing experience. For better or worse, depending on what you like, the new Kore has a more traditional feel to it, using the metal and a high camber profile to create the Kore energy while keeping things smoother and more predictable. It’s safe to say, though, that these Kore 88 Ti’s are the best Kore yet when it comes to bumps and smooth performance. Some found the carbon to be on the jittery side, so the move to metal makes sense to quell that issue. While others will lament the loss of that rare blend of light weight, stiff flex, and high energy, Head is hedging on the fact that more skiers will like the new and improved Kore in terms of performance, quality, and consistency.
Who it's For:
Bump lovers who also want a quick carver with good zip. You don’t mind a traditional ski as long as it comes with cambered energy.

Overview:
The 2026 Stockli Stormrider 88 is a new ski from the ground up. It features a more playful sidecut that allows for easier turn initiation. The gradual rocker increase factors in here as well by boosting mobility. Stockli has also softened the tail for easier turn completion and an uptick in off-trail accessibility. While the previous Stormrider 88 was more locked in, it still wasn’t totally burly—this ski feels more complete and consistent from tip to tail. We also see added rubber inserts in the tips to reduce chatter—not sure why they thought that was a problem in the past—these are some of the smoothest and quietest skis out there. With a bit of a drop in radius, the Stormrider is turnier, more versatile, and amazingly more silent than ever before. As always, the quality and snow feel of the Stockli Stormrider 88 stands out. It also seems like these moves are meant to both distance the 88 from the Montero 84 as well as bring it more in line with the rest of the Stormrider skis.
Who it's For:
Quality freaks who love the smoothest and quietest skis on the planet.

Overview:
While the Stance Pro 90 gets a new name and graphic, the construction and shape remain the same. These skis continue to be strong, stiff, and capable in both medium and longer radius turns. With a slightly longer arc, the skis can mix between turn shapes and styles with ease. It is a great bump ski because you can release the tails without much work, and at the same time, you can point it down the fall line and let it run. With almost two full sheets of metal, this ski is getting quite strong, but the engineers at Salomon add flax and carbon to increase the energy and rebound. While this ski has a more traditional shape and feel than most others on this list, it also has a very intuitive feel that doesn’t get pulled around like some skis that are either more precise, have a much shorter arc, or both.
Who it's For:
Thrill seekers who love to mix high speed performance with good bump skiing. You like the damping of metal but still want energy.

Overview:
It’s interesting with this ski right next to the Salomon Stance, as they have similar styles, but feel way different. The K2 uses a shorter radius and a more energetic tail to deliver short carves on groomers to the skier. While it still has some versatility to it, it goes about it differently. The K2 likes to be steered, turned, and carved no matter the conditions or terrain. The shovels are precise and on the stiff side due to the metal going to the edges, and far towards the tips. While the tail doesn’t have as much direct metal contact, it does have more shape and drama in the sidecut, so it rips through turns. We’ve loved these skis in the bumps and on groomers—fantastic energy while remaining composed and clear. If you give it direct input, it’ll return the favor in the form of high performance.
Who it's For:
Skiers who like it when the ski does a lot of the work for them, once the initial input is placed. You enjoy the feeling of crisp rebound and prefer shorter carvers.

Overview:
With a graphic change for 2026, the Armada Declivity 92 Ti is not only the widest ski on this list, it’s also one of the most entertaining. By using a wider shape, a stiffer flex, and more of a traditional shape and profile, the Declivity 92 hooks into more of an energetic feel with a ton of rebound and pop. While it’s a high-performance ski for sure, it’s still more accessible than you may think, especially when put up against the final five skis on this list. The performance potential is likely the highest here, as the Declivity can vacillate between on and off-trail characteristics with predictable and consistent energy. The fun part of this ski is that it works so well on groomers, you’ll forget that it’s also a versatile all-mountain weapon that excels in crud and chop. While the tighter and more technical aspects such as bumps and trees take a bit of a hit here, the Declivity 92 is more than happy to open it up and light it up.
Who it's For:
Strong and powerful skiers will get the most out of this ski, but if you’re looking for an entry into the burly ski division, this is also a good contender.

Overview:
Back for year two with a new graphic, the Blizzard Anomaly 88 brings rugged versatility and amazing edge grip to this category. This is a very competitive ski here, with a strong wood core, two sheets of metal, and an all-conditions rocker profile that performs as advertised. We’ve found them to be more versatile than the weight and flex may let on, generally due to the rocker profile and taper shape. It’s still more directional than some others here, notably the Enforcer 89, which has more of a freeride influence in the footprint. These skis are all there and feel totally connected to the snow in almost all applications. They make fantastic GS turns and are notably stable at speed, yet come across the fall line with intent and purpose. These are high-level skis that you cannot and should not be lazy on.

Overview:
With a stiff flex and a business-like carving character, the Nordica Enforcer 89 is a no-joke type of ski that responds to skilled input from strong skiers. If you’re looking for versatility, you can have it, but it does come at the cost of effort. Since it’s the narrowest of a freeride family, it does have some playful influence, but if you want to find, it either go shorter or work harder. In general, this ski excels at speed and in GS like carves. With a slightly more forward mount than the Anomaly, it does swivel slightly better, and operates really well in bumps and packed-out trees. The weight and stiffness keep it from being more swervy and creative, but that’s not what this Enforcer 89 is all about. It’ll do bumps, trees, and soft snow, but be prepared to get fully involved in the process.

Advanced and expert skiers who are looking for stability and power to go along with a freeride pedigree.

Overview:
With an abundance of crispness and edge grip, the new Volkl Mantra 88 is a standout ski in this range for sure. Built with a sturdy wood core, two sheets of metal including a tailored titanal frame, tailored carbon tips, and a stiff flex, the Mantra 88 is a rocket. One of the fun things that Volkl employs is a flatter overall profile, with long and low rocker at both ends. the minimal camber allows the skier to get into the multi-radius sidecut easier and get the ski to make all sorts of different turn shapes and styles. You still have to work it to get it, though, but you will be rewarded with some of the most precise feedback that you’ll get for a ski this wide. That does take a toll when it comes to off-piste performance, as the skis are almost to crisp for bumps, trees, crud, and chop—they seem to like smooth better than rough. Overall, a fantastic all-mountain ski for those with a carving bias.

Overview:
While skis like the Enforcer and Anomaly can certainly be considered stronger or heavier, the Kastle MX 88 is just a bit more difficult due to the square shape of the tail and total lack of freeride inspiration. As such, it’s an incredibly capable on-trail ski that absolutely eats up corduroy. The shovel is slightly softer, allowing for easier engagement, but from then on, it’s all business. The tail features an aluminum insert and an angular look with no rocker or taper. With a solid wood core consisting of poplar and beech and two full sheets of metal, this ski has way more race influence than not, just in a wider-bodied format. This opens up variable conditions and terrain, day-old groomers, and spring snow as possible areas of excellence, while bumps, trees, and powder take a certain back seat. It likes to be used in its stated radius of 18.8-meters in the 181 cm length, and does an excellent job of attacking the fall line with confidence.
Who it's For:
Racer and precision-oriented skiers who like the feel of a strong tail in the ski. You want engaging initiation to go along with a powerful finish phase.

Overview:
For the second straight year, the Rossignol Arcade 88 ends up on the far side of the wall, indicating that there is something unique and different about this ski. It continues to be incredibly stiff, quite traditionally shaped, and featuring a shorter turn radius. With almost no taper or rocker and a 15-meter turn radius, this ski is difficult to access the entirety of the carve. It’s incredibly precise and reactive, so it wants to start a turn with intent, but then the stiffness and the camber combine with the metal and short arc to simply rip through turns. The width is keeping it in the all-mountain category, but this is really a better option for skiers looking for a wide race carver—it's that good at on-piste skiing. It does give up some versatility as a result, with the ski asking a lot of its pilot to get it down and through technical terrain and softer snow.
Who it's For:
Mainly on-trail skiers who want a stiff ski with a short arc. You have to be willing to get this ski up on edge really quickly in order to access that radius and be prepared to enter the next turn.
